President Goodluck Jonathan has declared that he has fulfilled all the promises he made during his inauguration speech in 2011.
He said the Federal Government will construct a rail-line between Abuja
and Lokoja to hasten the socio-economic development of the country.
Jonathan who spoke in Lokoja during the PDP presidential campaign rally
also assured Nigerians that the Ajaokuta Steel Company will soon be in
full operation.
He said “The legal process of Ajaokuta Steel Company has been completed.
Investors can now come in and harness the opportunities that abound in
the iron ore company.”
He also added that the FG is working on a policy that will make sure all vehicles are assembled in Nigeria.
He said “We are coming up with automobile policy where vehicles will be
assembled in the country. With that, Ajaokuta Steel Company will be
empowered to produce iron sheets.”
Furthermore a group of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Women Volunteers
in Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara States have endorsed the candidature of
President Goodluck Jonathan.
The Group’s leader, Hajiya Rabi Giyawa said “I can confirm to you that
traders, house wives and those who believe in the development of women
in the three states have clearly indicated their interest to volunteer
and campaign for the success of the PDP.
“This is based on the belief that PDP is the only party that can protect
women’s rights, ensure national unity, cohesion and development among
all Nigerians.
“So, at the end of our consultative meeting with representatives of
women groups across the three states, we decided to endorse Jonathan for
a second term in office in order to allow him to continue with his
transformation agenda.”
