Embattled Catholic Priest, Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka of the Adoration Ministry has come under severe criticism from Christian faithful and political critics for his about face concerning endorsment of candidates for the 2015 elections. Many analysts are saying he was settled by the All Progressives Congress whilst some other insiders say he was motivated to do so by the Roman Catholic Church of Nigeria due to President Goodluck Jonathan’s open fraternity with the Anglican faith. In a new twist, Mbaka has said that he was unable to get through to the First Lady for several weeks after her November visit to the church and that the First Lady erred by refusing to give him access to her personal telephone line.

“Mbaka said before he gave the December 31, 2014 message, he had called Mrs. Patience Jonathan severally but couldn’t get to her. “When she came here, I told her to give me her number so that I could give her messages, but thrice she refused. It was later she told one of the pastors with her to give me his number. So, before that message, I had called the number for two weeks but it was always the Personal Assistant to the pastor that picked the calls.”
